ERW Tubing
Electric Resistance Welded tubing. This tubing has a good surface condition,
and generally a thinner wall. It is used for store fixtures and furniture and therefore surface condition
and quality is important. Because of this much care must be taken in handling and storage of this
product. Shapes can be round, square, rectangular, and oval. All tubing is hollow.

HSS Tubing
Hollow structural sections. This tubing is usually black, and has a thicker wall.
It is used in structural applications. Some examples of end use would be trailer hitches, railings,
racks and machinery. Shapes can be round, square, or rectangular. /available

HR Bars
Hot rolled bars. This product is made from melted scrap, and has many end used.
Like HSS tubing it is used in trailer hitches, railings, and machinery. Bars are solid, and can be

CF Bars
Cold finished bars. These bars are hot rolled bars that are then drawn through dies.
This process gives the bars a better surface quality, as well as tighter tolerances. It is more
expensive, and is used where better quality and machineability than hot rolled bar is needed.
Shapes are round, square, flat and hexagonal.

Cutting
AST has band saws for cutting. We can cut a single piece, or a bundle as large as 18" square.
We can cut all products except for rounds under 1" diameter.
